The High Heat Aluminized Cool Vest is specifically designed for use in extremely hot and direct proximity flame environments. It provides maximum efficiency in direct body cooling (heat abstraction) in radiant or convective environments that exceed 140º+F, high humidity, and can withstand constant temperatures of up to 1200°F (593°C). It has a high dielectric strength and low constant of 4.9 to 6.4.
The high heat cool vest uses an aluminized silica outer shell lined with flame retardant Banox lining. The cool packs are encapsulated in flame retardant pockets, for added protection. The vest is adjustable for torso height at the shoulders and neckline, and two side straps offer maximum chest adjustment for a secure fit. This model offers complete protection from volatile splatter from most acids, alkalis, solvents and direct flame and it can reflect up to 90% of radiant heat.
